Time Commitment

Basketball Sideline Cheer season takes place from November - March. We cheer at all Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball home games and all section games. We will also perform at SnoDaze! Depending on the game schedule, we typically practice two - three times a week. A google calendar will be sent to cheerleaders and families with all the practices, games, and other team events.

Spots Available

We have 24 spots available for the Winter Season. We will practice together as a team; however at games, the cheerleaders will be split into two smaller teams. This is because only 12 are allowed on the sideline to cheer during basketball games.

Eligibility and Tryout Requirements

Anyone in grades 9-12 and registers via the activities office with a valid physical on file can tryout. Coaches will do a grade check during tryout week to ensure everyone is academically eligible to participate.

​Attendance at all clinic and evaluation days is required. If a student is unable to attend, Coach Darby must be informed prior to tryout week. There will be two clinic days where materials such as jumps, cheers, and choreography will be taught. There will also be two evaluation days to assess skills.

Cost​

A majority of the uniform items are provided by the program. There is a $25 uniform fee + cheer shoes, undergarments, & team sweatshirt. There is also an option to purchase poms & bows.
