Football Sideline Cheer
Time Commitment
Football Sideline Cheer season takes place from July - October. Before school starts in September, the team participates in summer workouts and practices to prepare for the start of the upcoming season. We cheer at all Football home games and all playoff games. We will also perform at Experience Armstrong, Fall PepFest, and Homecoming! Depending on the game schedule, we typically practice two - three times a week. A google calendar will be sent to cheerleaders and families with all the practices, games, and other team events.
Eligibility and Tryout Requirements
Anyone who will be in grades 7-12 at the start of the season and registers via the activities office with a valid physical on file can tryout. Coaches will do a grade check during tryout week to ensure everyone is academically eligible to participate.

JV Sideline Cheer: Open to incoming 7th-12th graders.

Varsity Sideline Cheer: Open to incoming 9th-12th graders.
Attendance at all clinic and evaluation days is required. If a student is unable to attend, Coach Darby must be informed prior to tryout week. There will be two clinic days where materials such as jumps, cheers, and choreography will be taught. There will also be two evaluation days to assess skills.
Cost
A majority of the uniform items are provided by the program. There is a $25 uniform fee + cheer shoes, undergarments, & team sweatshirt. There is also an option to purchase poms & bows.
